Who Needs to Complete the Check-Mig for Colombia?
Any visitor entering Colombia from overseas is obliged to show a completed Check-Mig form.
Citizens of all countries must follow this COVID-19 policy, in order to be granted access into Colombia. This includes Colombian nationals and residents.
If you intend to go to Colombia for any reason, then you must follow this entry requirement.

Currently, there are no other COVID-19 entry restrictions to travel to Colombia. The Check-Mig for Colombia is the only additional step that you need to take.

Check-Mig for Colombia Online Registration
You can complete the application for the Colombia travel health form using the online system. It is a simple process that only takes a few minutes of your time.
The application can be done within 48 hours of departure, and up to 1 hour before.
The program does not allow the fields to be completed unless the date of travel is within 48 hours, so it is not possible to do it any earlier than in the required time. Still, it is advisable to do your application as soon as you enter the 48-hour window, to avoid any possible delays.
Completing the health declaration form application
Once you enter the system, the form starts by asking you if you are entering or leaving Colombia. The Check-Mig is only valid for single-entry, so a separate form needs to be completed for each journey.
You will then be asked for your travel information. You need to provide details such as:
- Mode of transport
- Departure date
- Travel provider
- Flight number
Then you will need to give your contact details for when you are in Colombia, including:
- Passport number
- Phone number
- Email address
In order to health screen each passenger, you also need to answer some questions about your current health status. These questions cover:
- COVID-19 symptoms
- Contact with someone showing symptoms
- Testing
- Any previous quarantine time
Once you have completed all the required fields and submitted your information, the application will then be processed. Within 24 hours, you will receive an email with your approved Check-Mig for Colombia.
